Student Programming Competitions
ACM-ICPC Student Programming Competition Group
The ACM-ICPC Student Programming Competition was established thirty-six years ago by the prestigious ACM Association with the aim of enhancing the ability of group programming among students. It is also known as the Programming Olympics, and the ACM-ICPC Student Programming Competition is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious competitive programming competition in the world.
The ACM Student Branch of Shahid Beheshti University is the second ACM Student Branch in Iran with more than 30 members and numerous internal competitions, including active groups in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science. In the 2011-2012 academic year, this group succeeded in holding the first national programming competition at Shahid Beheshti University, which was selected as the best scientific activity among all scientific associations of the university. The ACM programming competition in the West Asian region has been held in Tehran since 1999.
